World Mental Health Day

Tuesday, October 10th, 2023
The 10th of October is International Mental Health Day, also known as Mind Day. We are marking the day with a special class in each of our three studios. Read about them here and find them on the schedules 14 days before they start.
Classes are included in all ongoing memberships if they fall within the period your membership is valid. If you use a clip card, they cost a single clip, just like regular classes.
Mantra meditation with Christina Præstkær | From 19.00 to 20.00 | Senses Vesterbro
Mantra meditation involves the repetition of words or phrases that evoke specific vibrations and emotions. Repeating a mantra is an effective method for calming the mind and guiding it into a meditative state.
We start with a bit of movement to prepare the body and mind for meditation. After a brief introduction, we practice two different types of mantra meditations and conclude the class with a guided meditation and relaxation.

Calm and restorativ yoga with Siri Johanne Hagen | From 19.30 to 20.30 | Senses Nørrebro
Gentle and restorative yoga is a gentle and nourishing yoga class focused on calmness and recovery. We start the class with soft, gentle flows that help bring your attention down into your body and prepare it to become still. Then, a gentle yin sequence follows before we let the body completely relax in a restorative yoga pose. The class ends with a guided relaxation in savasana.
The class is done sitting and lying down, so wear warm, soft, and comfortable clothing.

Yoga nidra with Rebekka Owe | From 19.00 to 20.00 | Senses Frederiksberg
Yoga Nidra is also known as “yogi’s sleep” and is a guided lying meditation that can bring you into a state where your body is relaxed and at rest, similar to when you sleep, while you remain fully conscious and awake. This form of meditation has a stress-reducing effect and can help with tension headaches, sleep difficulties, physical restlessness, and general fatigue.
The class starts with a gentle warm-up of the body. Afterward, you lie comfortably on your back so you can lie still while we move into “yogi’s sleep” through body scanning, intention, and guided meditation.
Wear comfortable and warm clothing so you feel comfortable and can stay warm.
Who can participate? Everyone can participate.
