What do you emphasize in your teaching?
I emphasize good posture and safety in movements, so we work with the body in a healthy way and build strength and flexibility from there. All levels can participate, as there will always be an adaptation for newcomers and progression for those who have trained for a long time and need new challenges.
What do you hope your students will take away from a class with you?
I want my students to learn that all bodies are different and that each of us seeks our own way to work with the body. In the classes, we push our own limits and work with the body based on where we are that day. And with each class, we realize that we can do a little more. I want to share with my students a joy for movement, a joy in using the body, and the satisfaction of a good workout!
What do you particularly like about Senses?
I like that there is a wide range of classes, so members can train their bodies from different but similar perspectives, providing holistic training. There are classes for cardio and strength, balance and control, as well as relaxation and unwinding. And many combinations of these. It makes it a unique place to come and train, as you have the opportunity to engage in everything, both body and mind.
What motivates you to teach?
I love to see participants improve and witness their development from session to session. Helping people with their posture, strength, flexibility, and overall self-confidence is the reason I teach, as I see how it enhances their quality of life.
