Rebekka Owe

What do you emphasize in your teaching?

In my classes, I emphasize working through the entire body, with a focus on breath, pelvic floor, and core. You need to come in and connect with your center, your powerhouse. In yoga and Pilates, we essentially work on the same things; we just use different words and approach things slightly differently. Even when you’re training in Cardio and Barre, the principles are the same. It’s important to establish good technique so that you’re training effectively and intelligently from the start. I hope to impart a good understanding of the body, a listening to oneself, and I want all my students to feel welcome, comfortable, and 100% accepted just as they are! The paradox is that by becoming 100% yourself, you transform. I want to instill a strong belief in everyone’s great potential.

What do you want your students to take away from the class?

I want my students to feel really good in their bodies, ideally be happy and inspired, and be in touch with themselves when they leave my classes. And I hope they’ll be eager for more and look forward to the next time.

What motivates you to keep going?

I am a diligent practitioner of Yoga, Pilates, and various other exercises, and I train multiple times a week, so my work is my passion, and I love it. At Senses, you can train across the board and don’t need to go anywhere else. That’s why you’ll often find me in my talented colleagues’ classes.
